The Connick School
of Irish Dance

The Connick School of  Irish Dance was originally known as Rince Na h’Eireann School of Traditional Irish Dance, which translates to Dance of Ireland, RNE for short. It was founded in 1994 by Sandra Connick, born out of a desire to pass on the rich, cultural heritage that Irish Dance embodies to families in the Charlotte, NC area. A native of County Cork, Ireland, Sandra grew up in a family with a strong tradition of Irish Dancing. With fond memories of dancing and competing with her sisters, Sandra shares her love of dance and the gift of teaching in a welcoming, inclusive environment. More than 400 students of all ages have joined the Connick School family at 4 locations in North Carolina and South Carolina. In 2015, The Rince Na h’Eireann (Connick) School merged with Lynn Academy and the O’Grady Quinlan Academy, joining forces to form the Lynn O’Grady Quinlan Connick Academy of Irish Dance in order to best meet the needs of her students, from New York to South Carolina. The Connick School Crew

"The community at the Connick School of Traditional Irish Dance has been so welcoming to us. The teachers, while helping to grow a competitor, have never lost sight of who our daughter is as an individual. They are all about the kids, so I trust them."
